This is kooky, weird, and that's probably why I just had to close my office door because I was laughing out loud. Eugene Mirman is a comedian from NYC.
It's a blast from teh past! The Internet Archive: Building an 'Internet Library'
OK, it's archived. It's 25 megs but the NPR smackdown between Terry Gross and Gene Simmons can now be found here.
More on the obnoxious Gene Simmons story. Now NPR says that Gene Simmons won't allow NPR to post the transcript though Gene Simmons himself says that he hopes the rights can be worked out. Someone's lying. NYPOST.COM Entertainment: NPR JOCK SHOCK
OK, this is plain weird. I wrote a letter to CALFED long ago while we were living in Woodside. Well, it looks like CALFED has scanned all these letters and made them part of some sort of public record. Sheesh, I'm sure glad I hadn't written anything nastier.
I found an old template a client of Vicinity Corporation had used to interact with Vicinity services. It brought back memories to read variable names like FAM, SEC, and CMD. NREL fleet management.
I heard Terry Gross interview Gene Simmons, front-man and bassist for KISS, on NPR the other day. I remembered it this morning as I was driving to work; it was the most ridiculous interview I'd ever heard. It's not like a had a bunch of respect for Gene Simmons or anything, but this interview was simply rude. I tried to listen to the archive but NPR sites "Internet Rights" as the reason it's not being posted. I'm guessing Gene didn't want his moronic antics saved for posterity.

Saw this movie, Adrenaline Drive (1999), last weekend and I really dug it. Something about the cheesy Japanese pop mixed in with yakuza and some sassy romance made it really another world. Very fun.
