Katrina is Stressful

And not just for those caught in its winds.

Robocat

“If Elvis the Robocat could talk, he'd probably thank me for building him this little robot platform”.

Watch this short video and tell me if you think the cat looks like he's saying 'thank you'.

Album Art Redux

Think of your favorite band. Think you know their albums pretty well? All of them? Even the singles and rare live stuff and all that? Challenge yourself here. Just be sure to turn the volume down cuz it's annoying. A really nice implementation (and I'm not just happy because I scored 100% on The Replacements albums).

Oh Word (P-Slim Remix)

The Beastie Boys have made available a number of a cappella songs. Rad. I could not resist hacking the above together last night. Word.

In A Time...

You know that crazy deep smokey movie voice in the trailers? The one that begins 80% of the time with “In a time...”? The dudes that are those voices got together and did some promotional video for some thing. Whatever. It's very weird to see them and associate each of their shockingly familiar voices with their faces. I'm sure you'll agree.

Flop

I'm proud to say I had very little to do with these Top 10 Dotcom Flops. Warning, the page is very yellow.

iStampede

The iBooks we make are really nice, no doubt. But are they worth getting trampled on? (props Leslie)

Betcha didn't know that...

...the glue on Israeli postage is certified kosher or that the original name for butterfly was flutterby. There are more interesting, yet mostly useless (unless you consider pulling random facts from thin air useful), to be found here. I am proud to say that did, in fact, know that Bruce Lee was so fast that they actually had to s-l-o-w film down so you could see his moves. Bruce Lee was rad. Is this random linking distracting you from the dust bunnies 'round here?

Oh, and hey, while you're at you wanna learn some random skills? Like how to play a mean air guitar? or how to spin a pen on your hand?

Urban Ninja

Thanks to Summer comes the Urban Ninja. Half ninja, half spoof, half penguin shorts shots.
And yes, I know I've been quiet but it's because I'm working on good stuff both at work and at home. I look forward to talking about both real soon.

Japan, You Like Us...

...you really like us. Among my favorite parts of working here is the fact that we're building something with such cred. Did you know that the dude from CD Baby has written checks to artists totaling something like $15MM? This digital music thing is here to stay people. (Thanks Drew for the ref)

Parental Tech Support

I helped my parents get into their first Mac recently which is great. I received the following e-mail from my Dad today. It made me smile a lil bit:

From: Jim Pardehpoosh
To: Pedraum Pardehpoosh
Subject: e-mail

I cannot send e-mail.
